My bras never turn yellow! :) I use a solution of a little bit of bleach (quarter cup) and a lot of water softer (half cup) once a month or every two to three washes. You can get the water softener in the laundry isle at the grocery store. This keeps my whites very white!

FYI, I have a front load washing machine so it does not use a lot of water. You may want to up the quantities of bleach and water softener if you have a top load.

Why do you think there are so many that are colored? It is the body oils that embed themselves into the material, And besides bleach, I would also would love to know what can be done, and I have tried that color out stuff, it don't work on that kind of discolorations. I usually wash my white ones right after I wear, and not let it sit around until wash day.

Bras seem to pick up any color they are washed with...mine stay white as long as I ONLY wash them with whites...but to restore the color, try using a "bluing" agent.... like Biz or oxy-clean...most bras are made of nylon and bleach can cause that material to turn yellow...Good luck

Graying is usually caused by hard water. I have found vinegar, or Cascade will sometimes whiten them up a bit.

Try soaking one of your bras in hot water and Cascade in the sink for approx. an hour, and see if helps to lift any of the gray out. (I only use the Cascade granules, not the liquid Cascade)

I don't use Clorox on my bras as it tends to also give them a shade of gray.

I also do not throw my bras in the dryer, I seem to have better luck letting them hang dry.

Good luck and hope helps!

That s one of the greater mysteries of life :)

However on a more serious note, try to soak them in bleach for about 30min - 1 hr before you wash them with the other whites

You can try dylon to get them back to white - you put it in the washing machine with the items to dye.
In future hand wash all your bras, it makes them stay bright and in good condition, they are too delicate for a harsh wash.

Yeah, i think of maximum persons have that situation. I wash all my white bras and undies together on the delicate cycle, in a warm water wash, chilly rinse and additionally you could use the two bleach, Arm & Hammer whitening additive (is available in a container like the non-liquid detergent), Oxiclean, or you ought to attempt washing them in Woolite. individually, I often bleach my whites, yet you ought to flow effortless on the bleach by way of fact it's going to make the elastic lose its shape in case you employ too lots and it could additionally make holes on your delicates. the subsequent time you flow to the food market, see what products they create that are made extremely for white outfits. i be attentive to that all and sundry places carry bleach, yet no longer all of them carry a number of the different products i discussed. you do no longer want all of those products. I merely gave you a number of the products to choose for between that I surely have tried. We often use a liquid detergent with bleach determination, Spray~n~Wash, a scoop of Oxiclean and slightly liquid Clorox bleach to get our whites as sparkling as possible. be confident to dry your panties on the delicate cycle on your dryer and attempt air drying your bras by way of fact they're going to final longer. that's what I do and it style of feels to help save my whites from getting so dingy looking. i wish that it extremely is a few help to you! ?
