I planted this little tree last May. It continued to do poorly...as soon as new leaves would open, almost immediately the leaf edges would turn yellow and curl inward. I gave it plenty of water so that wasn't the problem. A month ago I dug it up & put it into a large pot, good soil & brought it under a cover. My question is should I still water it when it's dry or just let it hybernate all winter? Was my location bad...to much sun? This tree is important to me as it was one of my late husband's favorites.

My mother-in-law just put down a beautiful hardwood floor in her hallway, but she painted the walls a really bright teal or turquoise (Not quite sure the exact color.) I want to help her with some kind of trim or border and long "runner" rugs that can pull it all together and not just leave you thinking "oh,those walls sure are blue!" Can anyone help me with a color scheme or a mention a website that might be of help? Thanks.

I have a J Crew sweater that is a little too big for me and I would like to shrink it to a smaller size. I think I may have streched it out some wearing a t-shirt under it. The sweater is 40% merino wool and dry clean only. I have heard that washing it at home in the washer would shrink it but I'm scared I may ruin the sweater. Its one of my favorite sweaters. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have a lamp that says 60 watt max on it. It isn't bright enough. I obviously shouldn't plug a 150 watt incandescent bulb into.

There are 40 watt fluorescent bulbs that say they are equivalent to the brightness of a 150 watt incandescent bulb. Can I use one of these 40 watt fluorescent bulbs since it is less than 60 watts?

Homedics Garmet Steamer at Best Buy for about 60.00.

I hate to iron and someone told me that I could get the same results with a garmet steamer. I've seen the Homedics one at Best Buy for about 60.00. I'm wondering about creases though. If I'm steaming out wrikles, can I steam in creases?

What do you think?

Thanks and Happy Holidays

Once I turn the shower handle, I notice that it turns a couple of inches or so before water comes from the shower head. Then, I only get lukewarm water. I have taken the handle apart and have tried adjusting the plastic piece within the handle. No luck. Anyone have any suggestion as to what may be the problem. Thanks

My daughter has a project in Home-Ec. to clean out her room completley. This is a large task for her, as a teenager, because she has no organizational system whatsoever.

I would really prefer not to but an organizational system for her closet, but tips would be appreciated.

Thanks!
