Once I turn the shower handle, I notice that it turns a couple of inches or so before water comes from the shower head. Then, I only get lukewarm water. I have taken the handle apart and have tried adjusting the plastic piece within the handle. No luck. Anyone have any suggestion as to what may be the problem. Thanks

It sounds like the parts inside the faucet have maybe melted or have been damaged.

There's a strong possibility that you just haven't read and or followed the instructions that come along with the shower fixture for adjusting the amount of hot water you want. The new fixtures are, by law, manufactured with an antiscald feature that must be adjusted when it's installed, to the particular customer's tastes. Some people like a nice HOT shower, others like it lukewarm. The antiscald feature is for young children, and older folks who don't have the sensitivity in their skin cells any more to tell them that the water that's hitting them is hot enough to scald them. There should be explicit instructions with pictures to show how to adjust the toothed gear inside the fixture. Be sure to read carefully. If that doesn't do the trick, then you have a bad valve.

Your selection as long with the aid of fact the tile on the complete wall isn't off-middle, which will look unprofessional. locate the centerpoint of the wall and the two placed the grout line on the centerline, or middle a tile over the centerline. easiest: while you're installation tiles your self that's going to be easiest to place faucet between the tiles. you ought to use tile nippers to softly nip out the small a million/2-circle on each and each tile for the pipe to protrude by using. the hollow that the pipe protrudes by using interior the cement backerboard must be rather small and the backerboard should not be failing in any way, on account which you want a sturdy floor at the back of the complete grout line to help the grout. somewhat greater no longer person-friendly: purchase a tile bit, and intensely slowly drill out a small hollow for the pipe to protrude by using. The best approach if the above subject exists the place the backerboard isn't equipped nicely around the pipes. Or if the faucet alignment falls someplace interior the complete tile.

You're sure that the hot water is indeed turned all the way back on...? Are you sure that you didn't melt anything when you soldered? You wouldn't be the first one to buy & install a defective Delta product btw...If the other suggestion does not work then there is no recourse but to disassemble return and try again...Been there.

you need to take it apart and move the inner dial (the one that physicaly moves the valve) either 1/4 or 1/2 of the diameter of the actual dial so it catches lever earlier therefore turning your water on sooner and warmer. Just a slight adjustment should fix your prob. if that dosent work you have a valve problem
