I recently bought an investment house where 103 cats used to live, we did everything to get rid of the smell (even power washing) bleach, cleaners, and nothing work Until we discovered a product called "odor remover" sold by Home depot, it has a strong citrus smell and it did the trick, It is about $20 per gallon but it's concentrated (we used it without diluting it), that is the only thing that worked.

Ouch. Pressure wash the garage using a deodorizing cleaner. Lowes sells a liquid that the pressure washer will pull up out of the container. As for the living quarters, open all the windows for a while if you can stand it with whatever the outside temperature is. Try some of those plug-in deodorizers. If you bought the house, you may have to consider ripping out all the carpet if the odor doesn't get better within a few weeks.

What I have found to remove pet odor from the carpet is to rent a steam cleaner and put Nature's Miracle in with the water. It is a natural, ordorless odor remover especially for pet smells and stains. The same can be done in the garage. It will be a big job, but if you take sponges and a mop and wipe down every surface (might have to do it a few times) it should really help with the smell.
Hope it works for ya!

Try an enzyme cleaner. I use Odor-cide which I found at a pet store. Removes most odors I have tried it on.

If you can spray bleach water everywhere and let it sit, do that till the smell is gone. If the garage has a cement floor the bleach water will not harm it.

I have a lot of luck with Pine-Sol, but you might need more.
Maybe Febreeze might also help, and candles, incense.
A good airing out would help too.
A wipe down with lots of vinegar before anything else.
Good Luck!!!
