deep luxurious rugs, tapestry on wall, big baroque mirror, french chic furniture and a really comfy bed with duckdown pillows and duvet. heaven....

1] buy bedding and curtains first, in a color[ s] you love
2] paint the walls one of the colors in bedding, if solid paint a complementary color
3] make a border, or an entire wall, of photos grouped together in a collage.
4] or, make a collage of family pics, one ot friend pics, one of vacation pics, etc, all in different shapes [ like an upside down u over dresser/mirror, a long rectangle over bed, a square over desk, etc.]
5] any original art/crafts will help personalize the room - floral wreath with fav flowers, quilt or afghan in fav colors, art of fav subjects

paint the whole room white - there are loads of variations/shades, even the floor if you can, add small floral touches here and there - in just the one colour - pinks very fashionable, paint all your bedroom furniture white - in a distressed way and it will be guaranteed to look beautiful, fresh and very chic!

I would get a large frame and fill it with your favorite photos so when your nice new room is done you've got your own piece of art work that you star in!
