I have icicles forming on the edge of my roof, but only on one section of one side of the house. The rest of the house is icicle free and I am wondering if there is a reason they are forming in just one spot.

If so are there any more requirements than building a bathroom on any other floor? Thank you for your answers.

Hi folks, and festive greetings.

However -
I yjought it reasonable to put up two strings of twimkling LED jobs acsoss hedges & bushes in the front garden, and in my humble opinion, all 300 of the tiny things seem quite tastefull.

The is one bloke in town that spends ages putting up things like flashing Santas with flashing reindeer, huge "Merry Christmas " fittings, and string upon string of big multi-coloured bulbs.
The place is a fairground, and over the top.
There is even a rotating beacon on the chimney.

Mind, he has painted his pebble-dash house lime green as well.

What sort, if any, a display would you contemplate ?

We are a very active family of four. I do at least 5 loads of washing a week. We have a lot of designer and top quality items that i darent tumbled dry, i do have a small utility room but no room to hang clothes.
Im really struggling to get things dry now with the weather so wet and cold. They are currently hanging on a clothes horse in our dining room next to the raidiator. But it doesnt look good!! and we'll be getting a lot of visitors over the Christmas period and i dont want them to see that!

When i visit other homes i never see clothes all over raidiators or anything, so i wondered how you all do it?

I'm ready to save money with a programmable thermostat. I have an old boiler (radiator heat) and a brand new Trane central air conditioner system, installed in January of this year. Is there any advantage to buying a Trane programmable thermostat over another brand thermostat (since my a/c is Trane)? Any disadvantages?

Thanks.
