cast pipe to my knowledge cant be cut has to be removed piece by piece and then replaced with something workable , however you could talk to a plumber, and maybe come up with some options.

You can rent a cast iron snapper, cut with a sawzall and metal blade (I also like Lennox blades), or you can use a grinder. The grinder is messy and a pain to use with sparks flying all over. You can then use No-Hub couplers to install the new parts.

you can rent a snap cutter. or you could buy blades for a sawzall that are made for cutting that pipe. I personally like Lennox but they will all do the trick.

Just don't use a sawsall you will shake loose other pipe joints and have leaks. the above answers are good.

they have a cast iron cutter it is chain like -- with cutting wheels try to rent one at homedepot
