dont go by watts go by HP,
1/2 hp drill will drill thru almost any thing

Depends upon the size of the hole and the hardness of the product.
The larger, the greater the eventuality.

yes, I use a 400w. For concrete walls it needs to have a Hammer Action switch.

Yes, comfortably, if it's just for DIY. If you were doing it professionally then look at Bosch or DeWalt.
