Is there a way to thicken clorox spray? basically I want to spray it on the tiles in the bathroom, but it runs down too fast, I figure if it runs slower, it would get through the dirt better. any ideas?

I'm in charge of the garden this year at my daughters' Kindergarten class and I need to plant some bulbs with the kids. I'd like something that will be easy to grow, show results fairly quickly and have a nice flower display when it's all said and done. Any suggestions?

What is the machine called that has two metal tips that touch eachother. When you take two pieces of sheet metal and put them between the tips and then press the button or whatever, the tips come together and fasten the sheet metal together. .

thanks

Today while I was driving in heavy traffic on the freeway I saw on the bed of a truck in front of me bags of concrete mix that were labeled "2500 PSI Concrete Mix." Why is concrete mix given a PSI rating?

Many thanks,
C.L.

I have a large master bathroom about 12 x12ft.
What should I upgrade or change for the best increase in resale value.
Right now have big garden tub (fiberglass) and separate shower unit( fiberglass with glass door), vinyl floor, a 9 foot long older double vanity with cabinets below(MDF not wood) put in by contractor who build the house.
I will definitely need to replace the shower and the vinyl floor because they need to be repaired.

Do you think replacing the vinyl with ceramic tile floor is a better idea, or keeping it vinyl and upgrading the vanity/cabinets. The cabinets don't look bad, but are a bit outdated and match the ones in the kitchen and half baths. The similar homes in my area are selling for about 160K. I bought this one for 130K so I don't have much room to spend.

I'm adding a bar in my basement and always wanted to create a bar top similar to certain pubs and restaurants where old baseball cards or pictures are seemingly preserved forever under a thick layer of polyurethane varnish. The finish is transparent so you can see whatever is placed underneath it. I've tried doing this with regular varnish but it's simply too thin and doesn't set even. Does anyone know what this special finish is called and if there's a process to applying it?

I have a gorgeous Whirlpool flat top and I was just wondering what is the best way to keep it clean and in good shape? I don't want to scratch it with something harsh but what about the stuff that gets stuck on the eyes?? What would one use to clean that off?? The cleaner they sell for it only takes off the easy stuff.

It's one of those fireplaces that doesn't "need" an exhaust; supposedly it burns all of its gas. However, after being left on for a few minutes, there is an unpleasant odor in the room, and after a few minutes more, the smoke alarm, about twenty feet away, has been triggered.

Any suggestions on how to correct this problem?

Other relevant facts: It's new and hasn't been used more than an hour in total. I have a CO detector within ten feet of it, which never registers a measurable reading.
