I have just spent two weeks washing my clothes with the following as I and my nursing baby have had thrush (yeast infection in his mouth and in my breasts and milk). I used normal detergent and washed my clothes on hot for whites and warm for all others. I put 1 cup of vinegar in the rinse cycle (as it can break down the detergent therefore leaving you with clothes that are not really clean) and dried the clothes like normal.

You are very smart to be taking this precaution. I will also recommend that you take a clove of garlic chopped fine and swallow it all with a lot of water 4 times a day for 2 weeks. This will help to get rid of the over growth of candida that you have in your body. Monistat is not treating your whole body so you will often find that yeast infections return often if you have only dealt with the area of your body that reveals symptoms. Also, try and avoid simple sugars for a time as yeast loves simple sugars. Good luck to you.

Add a cup of white vinegar to the wash cycle and use your regular detergents, too. Then dry your clothes in your dryer with heat on.

The vinegar should clean your clothes nicely and clean your washer and drains all at same time.

Using your dryer with heat should kill any bacterias left after washing. I believe the reason laundry soaps aren't anti bacterial is because the dryer actually does the job killing the bacterias.

Is bleach is OK to use on the fabrics your washing ? If so you could wash the undergarment separately with bleach. But you should follow directions on the bottle.
If you have skin reaction from the bleach you should stick with using the vinegar.

I'd dump in a cup of bakiing soda or borax.
