My goal is to clean the bathrooms on Mon.night, dust rooms & wipedown counters in kitchen on Tues, Wed. vacuum upstairs & steps, then Thurs. sweep downstairs & mop. Including working on laundry each night. I work Mon-Fri and thought I could do this house cleaning like this so my weekends would be free. Trouble is, it takes up so much time! I've heard of some people just vacuuming every other week, or cleaning bathrooms every other week. What do you do?

I'm designing a post & timber garage/barn (approx. 36x56) for my brother's ranch, and need to determine the correct size of beams and their loading. What would be a website that would show a chart of such data? Thank you.

I just got a shipment of Iris roots. About half a dozen. I am not sure where to put it in my garden yet? I need to make another raised flower bed. Iris do they grow better in full sun or partial shade? Should I wait until fall ? It's still getting hot and dry here in Northern Utah? Help! I also have about 100 Tulip plants that needs planting? Now or late fall? Which way is better?

I was given my Grandmother's hand crocheted white table cloth. However there are several small holes/tears in the cloth and I don't have a clue about how to get the tablecloth repaired. I don't want to throw it away due to its sentimental value. Any suggestions on what I can do about the damage?
Thanks! Lin

very unique angles that are making it hard to figure out my furniture placement. the room is an L- shaped with the fireplace a little to the right of the bottom part of the L ( hope this makes sense i wish i could draw the layout). I had been thinking of making the fireplace a focal point but it doesn't seem possible and so far all i have come up with is dividing the room in two sections.Maybe a tv area and a reading area but i don't want the fireplace to disappear. Any ideas will be GREATLY APPRECIATED on how i can arrange and decorate. Also what colors would work to make the room warm and inviting. Thanks everyone.

School children of the UK have been taught the metric system for a while now; centimetres, metres etc and yet if you ask anyone under the age of 40 how tall they are 99 percent of them will answer you with a imperial measurement. Will we ever lose our hold of imperial measurements? I hope not because six foot is a damn site easier to say than one point eight three metres.

Curious...when asphalt contractors come in to put down a driveway must they kill the green grassy/broadleaf plant life before asphalting the area....because if they dont it will just weaken the asphalt overtime?

Or is this optional?

I am having a pool built and the contracter is telling me he must grade a part of a hill for the pump, filter, etc. I am afraid this will compromise the hill, which may, in turn, compromise a fence. It is only an 18 inch drop ovr several feet and could be graded on top for a level surface.
