I'm designing a post & timber garage/barn (approx. 36x56) for my brother's ranch, and need to determine the correct size of beams and their loading. What would be a website that would show a chart of such data? Thank you.

Ted Benson wrote a couple of good books on Timber Framing. We read them both before having a Timber Frame Home built. You also might check his web site and also check This Old House Web site as they have put up a few Timber Frame projects. Also Harmony Exchange supplies timbers and posts you might check with them. if getting a permit ur wasting ur time....u have to get the plans sealed by arch. or eng., i have built one and we just bought the package from a company and he plans will come sealed and the loads designed for u.......
