According to my Heating/Cooling guy, I need to have a circuit board replaced for my furnace. In the meantime, he's wired the blower/fan so that it runs continuously. The external A/C unit/compressor works fine, but I'm concerned that running the blower will be bad for the long-term health of the unit.

I heard it really works, but I'm afraid I'll wind up killing my plants.

Has anyone tried this, or know if it works? On all kinds of plants?

i have a septic tank at home .. have gone over everything .. traps , vents, etc .. still get bad smells on one end of the house by the kids bathroom only ..... i was wondering if over use could cause the smell to back up in the house .. the kids have an awful lot of friends over all day and they are constantly flushing and using the bathroom... is this to much for the septic system to handle????

If a house has a ring main, should you still have it re-wired after a certain period of time.
Be grateful for feedback on this.

I have a blue enamel bath with heavy limescale, usual cleaning problems only make it worse. Anything abrasive scratches it. Any idea on how to clean it - or a compamy that would clean it (I am UK based)?

We had trouble walking at night after rain for fear of squashing snails, and they were always eating our plants in the back yard. I dont see slaters any more either. Two of three years ago there were stacks of them.

Yesterday, I came home and saw that our TV cable box wasn't turning on. So, I shuffled through the wires in the back and couldn't figure what was wrong. Then I realized the stove clock had been reset. And so had my computer. All over my house lights were dimmed, and bathroom fans were running at half speeds. My girlfriends hair dryer was barely blowing air, and the A/C had just been blowing room temperature air long enough for it to be almost 5 degrees over what the temperature was set to previously.

All of the circuits have been flicked off and then back on, and none of them were blown. This place I'm living was built less than a year ago. It just seems like there is not enough electricity coming into the house. We aren't running any more appliances than normal, and haven't had this issue in the past. What is going on with the electricity in this house?
