I am scared to death of snakes.
Yesterday they were one came up by my front door climbed up on my storm door handle.
Neighbors saw another one like this a couple weeks ago.
I have a beautiful home and lawn always mowed weekly.
I am about ready to put my home on market this morning...that is how bad my fear is.
Any suggestions what I can get to keep them away???
Thanks in advance........

Don't sell your home yet. That is highly unusual for a snake to be that bold.It was most likely chasing or stalking something to eat,it wasn't after you.I know it is frightening and un-nerving to see a snake like that but I would be willing to bet that you will never see that snake again.I live in Florida and come across snakes frequently because of all the water and conservation land surrounding my house.I leave them alone and they leave me alone.I do remember my Mom used to sprinkle coffee grounds around the roses to keep the snakes away, but she was a little nuts.

There is a product called "Snake Away" you can give it a try.

Now, what you are seeing are probably ordinary green garden snakes or black racers. Both are completely harmless and I know that is no comfort for someone with a phobia, however, you have to understand that they are everywhere and you really can't run away from them unless you move into a high rise in a large city. If you have a yard or a garden, then you have snakes. Do some research and you may find that there really is nothing to be frightened of unless they make a rattling noise.

They are more afraid of you than you are of them. I know you dont believe that. They are searching for something to eat. If your yard is clean, no place for rodents to hide, then they will move on.
