I have a nice big grape vine in my yard that I have been growing for over ten years. This is the first year I have had a serious problem with Japanese Beetles. I have read about multiply products, i.e. Neem Oil, Garlic sprays etc. Does anyone have experience with using non-toxic sprays?

It's kind of a cross between a rhythmic grind and a gurgle. Maybe like a motor laboring. Fridge still works fine tho

The noise does stop once in a while - once in a rare while..

It's a GE, frostfree. I've had it for about 4 years, tho it could have 20 years on it for all I know. I'm moving in a year, so won't be buying a new one it this goes. (IE. I'd buy used)

Anyone know what it is and what I might check out, if it is indeed a problem in the making?

My roommate (who I hate) left a bunch of food and sweets locked up in his room for 2 months while he has been away. I opened the door and there were probably thousands of little bugs that fly around all over the food and sweets that he left. I assume they are called gnats, but I'm not for sure if that's what they are. How do I get them OUT?!

I have been hassled on my bill by "The Southern Co" a major electricity utility company in the south east. To make a long story short it seems that the closer I get to the date they want me on a fixed budget plan the more it increases. They did it last year and are doing so again this year. I understand about rate increases but these do not account for the extra high rates on a single bed room apt.

I went from $60 per last month to $80 something this time. According to them I used an extra of at least 150 kilowatt hours more than average. As mentioned above I have not been doing anything differently than the previous month.

My foremost question is does anyone no how to calculate the numbers from a meter to figure out the kilowatt hours from the numbers I will post. With this company they are read from left to right. Last months was 78147 and this month is 78879.

I hate being forced on the budget when I know I am being ripped off. Suggestions are appreciated. Many Thanks!

I just moved into an apartment that is approx 900sq ft. The wall air-cond. is in the living room, which is approx. 400 sq ft. The air conditioner is old as the hills. Here's the prob: my air conditioner has not been cooling the room enough. The air that comes out is hardly cold, even at the highest setting.Just today it started blowing out a 'fog' or condensation that had an odd smell. I was worried about freeon leaking and turned it off because I have a dog. I have had the coils cleaned and typically run it at 4, which is just below the halfway point. There has been condensation where the coils are on the inside of the air cond.
My questions are this: could the air cond. be broken, why was an odd-smelling white puff cloud of air coming out of it (could it be leaking freeon) and what can I do to fix it??
Thanks for any help with this!!

I am trying to afford building a house out of pocket. I am not a general contracter, although I do know how to build a house. My question is how to go about finding the materials, lumber cheap. Is Lowes/Home Depot the best bet? Smaller lumber yards? Or something else. I need to keep it pretty in expensive to be able to afford it out of pocket.

I turned off power and turned it back on. I called Sears for service they said it would be $93 to send someone out!!! The AC and furnace is 2 years old and it has 1 year for labor and 5 years on parts. It is a Kenmore NAC018AKC3

These bulbs are used on rides like the ferris wheel, and on the concession stands, etc.
The look like glass door knobs.
Also, where can I find instructions on how to build my own outdoor sign with bulbs?

the unit off and keep the blower going, tech's where we got the unit from are no help, they've been out a couple of times already and can't find anything wrong, unit freezes over during the day, during the night, we've checked the filter, we've had it cleaned to make sure that there is no blockage, the freon level is where it needs to be, we live in Kansas, and its in the 90's during the day and upper 70's at night, we need this unit fixed.

I'm gutting my bathroom and will be tiling the floor and then adding a new vanity and a new toilet.

The question is, do you tile before you put in the toilet and new vanity or do you put in these items first and then tile around them?

Concrete slab foundation that I'm currently working on leveling.
