I have a nice big grape vine in my yard that I have been growing for over ten years. This is the first year I have had a serious problem with Japanese Beetles. I have read about multiply products, i.e. Neem Oil, Garlic sprays etc. Does anyone have experience with using non-toxic sprays?

Go on a Beetle hunt. Hand pick and dump in a pail of soapy water. If that is not an option then neem oil, but do not use sevin. Sevin kills all bugs including the beneficials like bees which is a good enough reason right there. A soapy spray would help, but although It's a pain, picking is the best way to deal with the Japanese beetle.
Good luck

Sevin Dust will keep them away. Reapply after watering or rain. When they are ready to harvest, just make sure you cleanse them well. We have a major problem with the beetles this year. I put up 2 beetle bags far away from the plants I want them to get away from. They do work but I may be getting even more of the neighbor beetles in them as well. It seems to have reduced the large amounts in the yard though. Also, hand pick as many as you can and put them in soapy water. Good luck!
