It's an old decrepid fence that is already falling down. It's really annoying. I've taken down part of it, but it doesn't seem to be very time effecient. Also what should I do with the old wood when I am done?

There's a little wire coming out of the ground at the bottom edge of the outer wall of my house. I have no idea what it is. It's tied off at the end with a little bag.

I have two of these things and have no clue what they are.

More specifically: is it safe for me to remove them?

Here are some pictures of it:

We planted a 4-way Asian pear tree last year. This spring, 2 varieties of the pear flowered, and have fruit growing. The other 2 varieties did not flower.

question 1: Why did 2 varieties not flower, and should they flower in the future?

question 2: One of the variety of pear, is on a lower branch, and has gotten very heavy with new leaf growth, etc. the branch is falling over and is close to touching the ground. Should I try to lift the branch up and hold it up with string, or just let it hang?

thanks

I will be moving in 2 weeks. I have a small cheapy vacuum that I have been using for my own vacuuming however when I leave I want to make sure everything is really up and clean. Is it possible to rent a Shopvac from somewhere? How much would this cost? I'm in Las Vegas if that helps.

My home ac system is not working to par. Sometimes it works great, other times it hardly works.

When it first started acting up I had a ac tech come and top off the freon. He told me it was 2 pounds shy.

It worked good for a few days then acted up again. I had the tech come back and he said it was 2 pounds shy again. Toward the end of filling it back up he noticed it jumped back up to 4 pounds over.

He told me that I had an air bubble or some other kind of clog in the freon pipes. It worked again for a while after removed the 4 pounds...

Now it's not working again. The pipes are freezing up again.

My question is Is this common to have a clog in the freon pipes? What will a ac tech have to do to get this cog out? Is this going to cost a lot?

Please note everything is clean, & using clean filters.

For the past 3 weeks, I've had something coming into my kitchen cabinets EVERY night, It's very large,,,,,I can tell by the sound. It knocks my pots and pans around. I've set out mouse traps, rat traps, havahart traps, and finally a trap for catching animals outside. I've set them with peanut butter, raw bacon, corn, cheese, bread......yet for 3 weeks NOTHING!!!! It's like he is too smart to get caught!! I'm thinking he has to be a possum or a field rat since he only shows up at night. Please help me with some suggestions so I can finally get some sleep.

We live in an 80-year-old house with a fairly large bathroom. Our son was injured in an accident and is now quadriplegic. We need to modify the bathroom for rolling shower chair access. Since someone will be in the shower with him, the area needs to be about 5 feet by 5 feet.

My question is about how to manage the drain, what water barrier to put underneath, whether to use tile or a preformed base of some kind, and any other general tips you can provide from your experience. I have searched many websites and have seen many pictures of this type of shower. I am asking for first-hand knowledge about this. Is 5 x 5 reasonable?

Thanks for any info.

The air conditioner runs constantly. we had the maintenence people come over all ready, they had people over to recharge it. they did supposedly. they are also saying that it's normal on a second floor apartment for the machine to run constantly. Does that sound right to you? i mean that's gonna make a pretty hefty electric bill which we wouldn't be able to pay at all. are they gouging us or do they simply just not care? Help
