i am planning to move and i have no furniture. where this prospect really didn't bug me a month ago, i know find that it annoys me. any ideas on how to aquire cheap, but in okay condition furniture?

My bathroom ceiling is peeling and has dark spots on it, I believe from moisture when showering, I do have an exhaust fan and never had this problem before. What kind of paint is available to fix this?

We've just moved into a house and the previous owners left an old statue of a horse jockey.He had been spray painted metallic red and using paint stripper we've managed to see what the original paint colors were. What would be the best paints to use on him now? And should we seal it as well? If so can anyone recommend a good sealer? Any help would be appreciated!!

i don't want to break them or something while i'm washing them. they're hand wash only. i don't know how to hang them up to dry either.

I purchased one several years ago at k-mart. It had and adjustable pole that went from floor to ceiling so the fan could be as high up as you wanted. Anyone know where I could get one ? Thanks !

I wired a plug to an old hoover, and found that in the old plug, the blue (neutral) wire and the live (brown) wires had been swapped. What would have happened if i plugged it in??? I'm curious but wasn't brave enough to try!
