Hi, I am a DIY because of divorce and lack of money, so I bought an elec chain saw and took down most of my 2 huge tress out front. I think to have them put thru a chipper would be best but do I rent or ?? I need some realistic suggestions, if you want to be funny, I can always use a little clean fun.

When you do something good you get brownie points. Well if you do something bad you get them taken away. Is this like saying brownies are better than fudge... if so I totally disagree!

I have this really cute little tree...It's kind of like a miniature palm tree. I have had it for almost two years and it has been healthy and wonderful. Not long ago, there was a lead advisory in the tap water supply and I didn't know for like two weeks and I was watering the tree and I'm not sure if that's what made it sick or not, but now it seems to be dying and the leaves are turning brown and falling off. What can I do to heal the tree and bring it back to life?

I have a small, 2 1/2' X 4' area that has 100% shade that I would like to plant something (hopefully with flowers). It will get plenty of warmth, but no direct sunlight. Any suggestions? I am in Arizona (very dry, hot).

We moved into our recently purchased house here in (MI), now that the snow is finally gone and the everything is growing/blooming, we are finding that the landscaping has some issues. The main problem is that weeds and grass is starting to grow through the white landscaping rocks. I'm not sure how long the landscaping has been there. In some of the areas I can see the black mesh material. I want to have a nicely landscape yard, and I guess I actually have that, except for the weeds and grass popping up. Any suggestions?

Im redoing the kicthen, there are 2 old layers of faux-tile vinyl-ish type flooring glued down to the plywood flooring beneath. We are doing it very nicely and are getting expensive tiling done, but need to get down to the wood again. I have tried using an edger to scrape or pry the flooring up but they barely scratch it, theyre stuck REALLY well. Is there a chemical or solution that will soften this up without damaging the plywood?
Am I better off just ripping out the wood and putting in new plywood floors?

I moved into a new place and my back yard has almost no grass but is full of stubborn weeds. Mostly violets. What is the best way to get a full, green lawn? I'm considering roto tilling then seeding, or maybe sodding. Ideas?

We have lived in our house 2 years. There is a small weeping willow out back. I don't know if it's a youth or a miniature. Very skinny tree, about 6-8 ft. tall. It's always the first to bloom. However, this year, nothing. Not one bit of green. The only difference I can see between this year and last is the bark at the base of the tree is peeling off. I have tried to search Google for help, but to no avail. Is anyone out there familiar with the Weeping Willow? I've wanted one since I was a little girl, and I'd hate to lose it.

Thanks in advance!

Julie

We just moved into a home and are having a housewarming bbq in 3 weeks. How could I spruce up the backyard in that amount of time inexpensivly? Maybe some flowers...its pretty spacious, but it needs ALOT of work.
