You should be able to find diamond bladed hole saws in that size for a very reasonable price at Lowes or Home Depot. I have a 1 inch that I've used on tile that worked great.

Use the 1/2" bit and then use sanding bit to widen out to 3/4" Maybe a dremmel tool will also work with a sanding bit.

At any tile supply house they sell diamond tipped hole saws.

Carbide coated hole saw black n decker the hardware section at wall mart might have one .
