My dryer take two cycles to get our clothes dry. It's getting annoying. I don't think it's the heating element or the air duct being clogged. Any other ideas?

I need compost for my garden this year. I have a large pile but it will not be well composted in time. Where can I find like a trailer load of it at a cheap price or free? A place 24 miles from us charges 10 per yard. I also need top soil but will have to buy that also. I do not have a whole lot of money. Bummer.

Please let me know if you can help out in any way. I need a lot of advice. I have some goat manure that is not well composted but it is said to be able to go on a garden fresh and not harm plants. I will be picking up some more manure in a week or so.

People amaze me - I work in the building supply industry and I have never met so many people that believe they are superior to the suppliers they are dealing with.

I just met the meanest woman in my showroom who was exceptionally rude and nasty. I (obviously) had someone else help her but I discussed it with the salesperson later and this woman is going to pay a HUGE premium for her supplies.

Furthermore, I'm going to drop an email out to all of my contacts that bid to her and she'll pay a premium at the competition too. This is known as the "you're a pain in the a$$" charge in the industry.

Thank you for letting me vent guys and remember, if you are building or remodeling it would be in your best interest to not demean or treat others as if they're beneath you.

Competition or not, we talk.

I find it humorous, and wonder of others experiences. Perhaps I'm stepping on others opinions? Perhaps I'm offending with no intent? I do know that I'm only in Q&A to add help and support to ANY I submit an answer to.Most recently I notice so many negative ratings, and wonder if others, especially those with higher scores or the note that we are major contributors, actually give detailed, VALID, advice based on experience and skill, still seem to garner negative ratings. I wonder too if those who rate negatively might IN ALL DUE RESPECT, state WHY they rate in the negative.Certainly it might be that MY opinion challenges another, but I want to believe that the 1st. ammendment to the constitution of the USA, allows differences of opinion. In any case I find it more comical, that very often my BEST vote happens even after Negative ratings.I've been in the trades a LONG time, and given that everyone has freedom of choice and opinion, I have to wonder if I'm being rated by competition? :)

I love flowers and plants and would like to start my own container garden. Unfortunately I have a bug phobia, and all the things I have been reading about gardening talk about how plants need insects to thrive. I was wondering if there were any plants that insects do not like or plants that would do okay without insects? I want an organic garden so I could only spray with an organic formula.

It seems to have gotten stuck in a small support wall that's sealed off. I am thinking it fell down into it? I'm not sure. It hasn't moved from that spot for a week. It moves around a lot like it's trying to crawl up to get out but never makes it. I have no idea how to get to it or how to get rid of it. Any suggestions?

I am renovating a house and just wondering if by code we are still allowed to incorporate the laundryroom in the same space as the bathroom so as to make it a dual purpose room.
Thank you :)

Is there a secret to this? Normally I stick them in the dryer for a few minutes to soften them up, otherwise all I get is complaints. Should I use extra fabric softener when washing if I plan to dry on the line?

The taps are self closing stlye by Armitage Shanks. They run for several minutes when pressed and the only way to stop the flow is to lift the tap back up. Is there a way of shortening the time that they flow for? I've tried to take they appart ti investigate but when I took the cap off there was a triangular headed screw that I couldn't undo with my conventional tools. Any ideas would be welcome as I'm always coming into the bathroom and finding the taps running.
Cheers

We just moved into a newly purchased home but is a 1983 home. The windows are old and we need to replace one of the tilt latches on one of the windows. Any ideas maybe an online store that sells various latches. I've gone online but keep finding proprietary latches.
