Yes... our neighbors had one, and our swim-club had one. A key to making them effective is a good, quality pool blanket !

It requires a fair amount of space, and of course SUNLIGHT... but the club-pool (olympic-sized) was kept at a delightful 78-80 all winter long !! Without EVER using the boiler.

yes and very good ...they raise the H20 temp preety fast if you have bright sun
