We just moved into a newly purchased home but is a 1983 home. The windows are old and we need to replace one of the tilt latches on one of the windows. Any ideas maybe an online store that sells various latches. I've gone online but keep finding proprietary latches.

Look closely at the latch. It may have numbers or a name on it. Added a website that MAY help. Has pics of latches.

:Pella is the best brand to use and price is comparable to Anderson. With Anderson being a bit cheaper. But Pella is by far much better. Right now would probably be the best time to buy and install them. With the economy at an all time low, and building of homes in a slump, you may be able to work out a great deal with the distributor, cause they are going to want to make any sale they can. Not only real estate is a buyers market but materials and contractors are looking to remodeling as the area to keep them going during this econimcal slump. I am in construction my self in Tennessee and if I were close, I would bid on the job myself!

Go to www.Blainewindow.com They sell nothing but window parts, and I have found the most obscure parts for the oldest windows over the years!
