People amaze me - I work in the building supply industry and I have never met so many people that believe they are superior to the suppliers they are dealing with.

I just met the meanest woman in my showroom who was exceptionally rude and nasty. I (obviously) had someone else help her but I discussed it with the salesperson later and this woman is going to pay a HUGE premium for her supplies.

Furthermore, I'm going to drop an email out to all of my contacts that bid to her and she'll pay a premium at the competition too. This is known as the "you're a pain in the a$$" charge in the industry.

Thank you for letting me vent guys and remember, if you are building or remodeling it would be in your best interest to not demean or treat others as if they're beneath you.

Competition or not, we talk.

Truth. Having been in business myself, pain in the *** customers generally pay more. Yes, we do talk to our "competition". It keeps one in the loop and on his/her toes in the market.

I used to work in a music store, we did the same thing. Those people who thought they were better than us never got a good deal. Stupid is as stupid does.
