Have some outdoor cushions, that I have tried to clean, but can't get them clean. Any suggestions?

Hi,
I just installed the Ridge beam for my addition. On top of the posts that hold the beam up, I have simpson ccq column caps. The beam is resting on the roof, and two caps. The column cap in the middle has a small gap between it and the beam. My question is can I place some shims in the gap, or should I trim the roof portion of the ridge beam, so that the beam will sit flush in the column cap?

My cat jumps up on mr dresser and bed and my other dresser and scratches it all up. I have like wood furniture not metal! it's dark and where she scratches it, it goes through the paint and u can see the regular colored wood under it. Can it be refinished, repainted? If it can how much will it cost me?

I've got this "leather" sofa in my home but not for sure if it's real leather. It used to be my brother's and gave it to me. Anything I should look/feel for on it? I've never owned a piece of furniture like this before. It isn't suede like leather(two belts, a watch, and a jacket).

It's a pretty tall one (~12 feet high). The nuts are just starting to show up & the squirrels are aready eating them. I've tried a couple of store bought repellants, but they don't work. I'm also trying a water & cayanne (sp?) pepper mix.

I'd rather not have to shoot them, but I'm running out of ideas.

I want to prime it instead of paint it. The owner then only has a year of use noticed on the walls AND the walls are already primed. I also want a clean fresher feeling throughout a house that has been our home for one last year. Any recommendations?

I can't stand it! It's not the washing of the clothes that bothers me, it's just the rdundancy of folding the clothes before you war them. It has no point. I Hate folding clothes! Sorry for the vent, I'm a 20 year old housewife/ part time student that has way too much time to think about the 'lttle things' like this. but, please reply if you feel the same.

for my room i am wanting a person al fitting room in the corner of my room but im looking for one's that more curved than the cresent shaped ones. it's extrememly hard to find the one that i'm looking for but some stores use them but i have no idea where in teh world they even get them! can you please help me find one? like a shower rod but it will be used as a fitting room rod instead!

I just bought a home in the country. When I moved in the water was hard and smelled like eggs, I bought filter systems...water softner. The water is now softened and doesn't smell, but when I turn it on the water comes out brownish? HELP!!!!

there is already 2 layers on the roof now. I have had 2 contracters tell me it's ok and the extra weight will not matter. I'm considering a much heavier shingle than what's on there now. it's a ranch stlye home around 2000 square feet. house was built around 1965

my flute is already open and I just need to know about how long it will take for them to fly out and how do i know if they are leaving during the day. It has been at least six weeks. I got my husband all the equipment to build a small fish pond in our yard about 3 years ago. We have large breed goldfish type? fish in it and it is constantly dirty. He cleans the pump out weekly because it gets clogged. The water is so dirty you cant see 4 inches down. We have tried draining it and scrubbing the liner with a brush (no soap or chemicals though) and every type of algea chemical we can find but nothing has helped. Instead of the beautiful pond I wanted him to have it is a nastly puddle. Help!

Its a minor leak in a hot water side on a hall way shower. I'm trying to avoid having to cut the wall on the back side in order to solder a new fitting or re-soldering. I figure I can ask those professional plummers out there.
