The serial number shows it to be made at the Elizabethport factory in Elizabeth, New Jersey in 1910.

I realize that condition will make all the difference in price. This one is in working order with a rawhide drive belt stapled together at the joint. Cabinet condition is FAIR to LESS THAN FAIR but complete with under-top drawers on both sides.

I am unfamiliar with Singer values and asking for any help or sources to continue research.

Hi, last year I bought an older home. Today, I decided to install a ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms because it gets pretty hot in there.

There was already an old ceiling fan up, but it didn't work.

When I took the ceiling fan down, I noticed there were only 2 wires coming out of the ceiling. A black one and a white one. There was no green "ground" wire.

So, this new ceiling fan I bought has 4 wires to hook up--black, blue, white, and green.

How would I hook these up?

The simpler the answer, the better for me. I don't know much at all about electricity.

Thanks!

I have got a peanut plant started, now 10" high, lots of yellow flowers.

How high will it grow, what temperature/conditions does it need.

When will there be peanuts ready to dig up/harvest from it.

I have a fibergrass in ground swimming pool in my backyard. The pool size is 12' x 24'. We woud like to remove it. Ideally we want to have it covered with concrete.

Some said that we should remove them totally, but others said that they can just punch holes and dump the sands.

The 2nd approach is definitely much cheaper. What is the pro and con for each approach? What should I know for making the decision? Usually how much does this work cost?

I am living in Fremont, California. Please leave your contact information if you can provide such service. I can also be reached in email.

I just built a new home that has Oak Cabinets through-out. I decided I do not like them, and want to remove this Light Oak Gel Stain from the Oak Wood, and Re-Stain all of them, to a Lighter Color, or perhaps to use a Pickel Finish.

My Dilemma: The Builder Said, "It Is To Late", that once Oak is stained with anything, the only thing I can do is to paint over them.

If at-all-possible, I do not want to paint my Cabinets, they are just to pretty. If you have a proven technology, please send it on to me.

Thank You,

I live in Oklahoma City. We have gotten a couple labor only bids in the $1500-$2000 range. We got a quote from a guy today that will do it, labor and materials, for $3500. The space is about 8 X 20. For that, he will insulate and sheet rock the three sides that are not next to the house and the ceiling. He will also install a sliding door, a single glass door and a window. Basically, he will finish it to the point where we can just paint and put in flooring. Does this sound like a fair price? Thanks!!!

I just closed on my home on June 23rd. I had a home inspection done prior and flooding did not appear to be an issue. Two days ago, there were some pretty heavy rainfalls and the next morning, the back portion of the basement had about 1-2 in of water. Someone told me that this should have been disclosed and I have legal recourse. Is this true? This property was an estate sale and I signed that I agreed to take on all repairs. What to do?
