Read the ingredients labels on your cleaners.

I have a septic system, so bleach is out of the question as well as any other harsh cleansers.

Try using baking soda & white vinegar. Pour some baking soda into the water, then pour some vinegar. It bubbles up. Let it sit for awhile then rinse clean with your toilet brush.

Put white vinegar in a spray bottle & use it as a cleaner for the rim, seat & outside of the toilet. It's a natural deoderizer, kills germs is a good cleaner. The vinegar smell dissipates quickly.

I don't know but u can just pour some bleach in your toilet bowl and let it sit and it'll clean it for u.
