I live in Oklahoma City. We have gotten a couple labor only bids in the $1500-$2000 range. We got a quote from a guy today that will do it, labor and materials, for $3500. The space is about 8 X 20. For that, he will insulate and sheet rock the three sides that are not next to the house and the ceiling. He will also install a sliding door, a single glass door and a window. Basically, he will finish it to the point where we can just paint and put in flooring. Does this sound like a fair price? Thanks!!!

He showed us some pictures that were beautiful. He also has done work for a couple other people in the neighborhood. He will give us references if we decide we want him to do the work. He doesn't want us to bother his clients unless that is the only thing stopping us from using him. He also doesn't ask for payment until the job is done.

You bet your sweet pootie baby, grab him while he's free, and find out how much extra he'll charge to do the flooring even if its not his field alot of the guys around here (ky) will put the price in as a whole and then subcontract it out to guys just getting started, they do really GOOD work generally just for the chance of word-of-mouth business. Good Luck
