It is Possible but very difficult to match pre stain to stained wood.
try and get some loose wood and experiment with it before staining anything permanent.

try staining the lighter wood twice til it comes up to the shade desired. this is easier done with stain that is not oil based

Is this a scratch in the wood. If this is the case. They make shellac sticks in various shades that you use to fill the scratch.

If you can;t find the right shade pick the ones that a closest & blend them together.

YES...BUT YOU MITE HAVE TO USE A COUPLE DIFFERENT STAINS TO GET A GOOD MATCH
