I'm not aware of an adapter designed for outdoor faucets like that, but most hardware stores will offer a 'Y' adapter designed to feed two hoses off a single faucet.

This adapter is built upside down from what you want, but you can get adapters for the ends of your hot and cold hoses to change the 'gender' of the hookups. (The threaded outlet on an outdoor faucet is 'male', the intake on a garden hose is 'female'.)

Parts:

- Two short hoses.
- Two female/female hose couplers.
- One Y adapter.
- One male/male hose coupler.

Assembly:

- Hook up the two short hoses to the hot and cold faucets.
- Attach the female-female couplers to the downstream ends of each hose.
- Match the newly female hoses to the male ends of the Y adapter.
- Attach the male-tipped coupler to the female end (normally the inlet) of the Y adapter, making it male.
- Hook up your working hose to the adapter.

By the way, if you want to install a permanent fixture, Moen just came out this year with an outdoor single-handle hot/cold faucet (Moen #HC200508) that hooks directly to your plumbing.

Has anyone ever said why a hot water faucet was installed outside your home? When we were buying the home we live in now, that feature was on one of the prospects. I never could get that answered.

And you do realize that by using the hot water faucet, you will be running up your utility bill??
