Not an easy answer.
1. the mirror can be resilvered, BUT
2. the mirror on your 1890 organ is NOT like present mirrors. Present mirrors are silvered. Your mirror is made with diamond dust! That you can not afford unless you're really partial to that organ. It can also be done, but, understandably, it's rather expensive. If the organ is not particularly expensive then just have the mirror resilvered. If it a very expensive organ then you might consider going back original, or get it resilvered now and put back original later if you decide you need to.

To get it resilvered call a local glass company and ask for a recommendation, it should be available locally. to get ot back with diamond dust-Google "diamond dust refinishing mirrors" I haven't checked into it in several years. I bought a secretary that had some small spots on the mirror, but, after checking, decided they were'nt that bad.

Most any glass/mirror stores can do the job. Check in your local phone book for a nearby store. Also craft stores carries a product to paint onto the back of mirrors to restore them. But with the age of your mirror I think I would suggest a professional to do the job

LEAVE IT AS IS !!!!!!! you will hurt the value of the organ by replacing it! Resilvering is very expensive! enjoy the fact that that mirror has survived 100+ years!
