Like the natural color so don't really want to stain. Do you recommend against not staining first of all, and if we don't stain should we sand and condition first or just brush on the polyurethane? Or is there something else that would be better? what if one decides to stain darker years down the road, would some other sealer be better?

Could this be heat from the attic?

I made sure that there are no propane BBQ grill tanks inside the house. All of my Butane canisters for my torch are in the garage, and the garage doesn't smell.

I double checked all of our drains to see if it was sewer gas including the one in the floor in the basement. I even poured bleach water in all of them in case there was bacteria.

I've also know what it smells like when there is a dead animal in the wall or attic, and it's not that.....

Any suggestions?

we've had 3 holes dug in our garden over the past month. They are quite deep and wide with loads of soil spread around. This has only happened at nights, could it be a badger?

I know some people that go a week, a month, or longer. Their houses smell awful. I also know people that never have a dish in the sink. What about you?

Does anyone know the name of that thing that looks kind of like a dust-buster, but it's spefically made to suck up spiders/other insects in a house? Also - where can I buy it at? (Wal-Mart or Target?)

If so, how did it work for you? I've heard that the paint clogs and then it sprays with no control. Can you thin the paint?

the spots are tiny and concentrated on a few areas and only showed up on my work clothes...weird. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem with my washer? I've heard that I should put lemon juice on the spots and dry them in the sun, but I am more worried about future washes

I've always wondered; we have gas riding mowers nowadays and it still takes a lot of time to do mowing. How did the pioneers mow grass? Did grazing animals take care of it, was it all done by simple machines or what?
