rotten egg smell, murcaptin (spelling ?) put into gas to make it stink and no gas.... hmmmmmm...
My first thought was floor drains. Sounds like you got that covered with the bleech but just water to put in the traps is fine to creat a water trap is good enough.
YOu got the right Idea about the smell being created by to rotten animal or standing water so here are some ideas
Possibly your washmachine isn't spinning its water out all the way?
Sack of Potatoes rotting?
dead mouse behind refrigerator and fan push the smell?
Broken vent or sewer line?
Sewer gas coming up from septic system, out roof vent (like it's suppose to) but air intake too house or lay of the land is forcing it back into the house.
House above you or next too you is leaking and creeping to lower level (propane is has higher specific gravity).
If you have easy access to your roof, try going too the highest vent with a bottle of peppermint oil like you get at the grocery store by Mc cormic spice isle. Put on a pair of gloves, open top and dump down vent, put lid back on and pull your gloves off and over the bottle, put in ziplock bag (try not to smell or touch oil) and toss gloves in trash away from house. The peppermint oil will seep through the plumbing and if you get in the house and get strong oders from it....possibly a broken sewer/vent line.
Some plumbing companies have smoke machines to check for broken vent/sewer lines.

Get a carbon monoxide detector ASAP. You can't smell it and that's why people die. Headaches are a sign so have it checked out as soon as you can. The detectors aren't expensive and worth it to save your life. A small leak will just make you feel lousy and it sounds like everyone in the house is having some sort of issues. Gas smells like dead mice so you'll know it.

It may not be in your house... it could be under your house... a leak from a public pipe or something. It may also be coming from a neighbors house.
Personally, if I smelled anything like that, I would have already called the fire department to come and check it out. I don't mean dial 911, just call your local station and explain the problem. If they are concerned, they will send someone out to check.
If you don't want to bring in the fire department, call your utility company and ask them if there are any gas lines that run near your house, and if so, they need to check them because you smell gas.
Last, you can get detector and plug it at your house. You can buy one for under $30.00. You can find one at your local hardware store, or even at a Walmart. They are usually located near the fire detectors/alarms. If your detector starts beeping, then you need to leave your house immediatly and call the fire department.
Good Luck. I hope it is nothing... T.

Perhaps your house is sitting on top of a natural gas resevoire. Although it is widely known that you can't smell natural gas, until it is treated with a scent, I insisted for two years that I could smell gas in our house. We had numerous technicians over to measure the air quality, and check the pipes for leaks. They never found anything.
Then, a month ago, the pipeline and drilling people informed us they have found a large supply of natural gas under our property, and are going to be drilling in our area.
Possibly, you are sitting on a gold mine.
But, even if you are not, you should have someone come measure the quality of your air. You might have to install an air purification unit to improve your air quality.

Call the fire department and report "An odor of gas" - they will come out and find out what it's coming from.
Could it be coming from the street? Or the next door neighbor?
PS - if it smells like eggs than the smell is sewer and that's dangerous!!

You may have a stub-out for natural gas coming to your house. I would call the local gas company and have them check. Most of the time it is a free service, sees being they don't want your death or others on their hands.
Either that or you have a dog or cat? Maybe they have gas... LOL, couldn't help myself.
