If so, how did it work for you? I've heard that the paint clogs and then it sprays with no control. Can you thin the paint?

Yes. It worked great. You have to thin the paint to a consistency where it's really easy to work with but not too thin or you'll have a mess. Before you start painting, do some practicing on something and find out how far you should hold it away from the surface of what you are painting. If you hold it too close, you get runs. Too far, you get thin spots. Don't stay in one spot too long. Clean the tip every so often to keep it in good performance and when you are done clean it extra good and wipe it off. The sprayer only works as good as the person running it.

My husband & I used a spayer to paint the outside of our house. He thinned the paint w/ a little water & it sure did cut down painting time. We loved it & we painted 3 years ago. I dont see any signs of chipping or peeling. The sprayer we have you could adjust the spray. You really have to watch that.

wagner sprayers are a cheap alternative, but if you are not a painter it should be fine for small jobs around the house. Yes you can thin your paint. If it is latex, thin with water. If it is oil based, thin with paint thinner. That should help.

I did one time(never again). You have to thin the paint to water and the conections leak when spraying up(over head). A BIG MESS.Oh I now use a hydrolic sprayer.Much faster and no thinning, easy cleanup.

If the paint is properly thinned they work great. The only drawback iv found to them is the cleanup after you have finished using them.
