I have small blackish mold spots above the shower stall that I have been battling for the last year. We clean them and they come back again and again. Is there any product I can use that will keep them off for good?

Wash with bleach water. However, if you want it never to come back, paint your bathroom with exterior house paint. It come in lots of beautiful colors. I had the same problem and the paint they make for bathrooms did not work. A builder told me to use exterior house paint because it is mold and mildew resistant. It comes in acrylic paint, so it washes up with water and cost less than the bathroom paint. It worked for me, never had mold or mildew again!!!! Good Luck!

I really like a product by DampRid called Mold & Mildrew Remover and Protectorant. It has not harsh or toxic chemical or fumes. It removes not only the mold/mildew, but it kills the spores that make it return as well as leaving a protectorant to prohibit new growth. You can get it in the cleaning aisle at the Lowes and it is less expensive than other cleaners at $1.99. In addition, it won't harm surfaces like wood, painted drywall, plastics, etc. You also might want to buy the DampRid Moisture Collection tub. It contains crystals that absorb excess moisture in the air which is what enables mold and mildew to grow. It works especially well if you don't already have a bathroom ventilation fan. Once you remove the mold and if your ceiling is painted drywall, you may also wish to repaint with mildew resistant paint for kitchens and baths which most home improvement stores carry.

Try a product called Kilz. It think it is found at your
local Hardware Store chain (Home Depot). Then,
pain right over it.

At Home Depot, they'll tell you exactly which products
to use. Good luck!
