We need locking screen doors but don't think we should be responsible for the cost because we rent.

My toilet will not flush properly, I flush, the toilet fills, then empties gladually. " all the way" to the bottom of the tank. I plunged, looked under the "hood", I can't see the problem, everything seems to be working fine. Help!!

Ok i have a pair of really old silver earrings with huge diamonds in.
They are really dirty and so are the butterfly backs.
Really really dirty and I would love someone to tell me how to clean them please.
I know toothpaste cleans silver but these are too small to scrub or rub.
I was thinking more on the lines of a homemade silver cleaner where i can soak them for a while.
Thanks xx

I planted a tomato plant about a month ago, in June. A lot of tomatoes are hanging off the vine, but green... very big though. A week ago, a few started turning yellow... and that's where they stayed.

I couldn't stand it anymore so I picked the deepest yellows... and was surprised to find out that they taste exactly like red tomatoes?! Do you think they're really ripe? I thought I bought a red-tomato plant... Do you think I should pick them when they're a deep yellow? I'm so confused...

I'm looking for "mini-Wind Chimes" to give as my wedding favors.
They are probably about 5 inches long...Metal, steel. Does any body know where I can order them online? I feel like every site I visit doesn't have them. Thanks! Any other suggestions for wedding favors are welcome!

I have a Mansfield toilet. I broke the piece that connects the float ball to the top of the fill valve. Since everything in the toilet tank is at least 10 years, rusted, corroded and nasty, I thought I'd just replace everything. I'm starting with the fill valve/ballcock assembly. The fill valve unscrewed and came out, but I cannot remove the coupling nut at the bottom of the tank and the rubber ring inside the tank. I tried a wrench on the coupling nut. No budge. The coupling nut is plastic and seriously looks like it's attached to the toilet tank! and has a screw-looking piece underneath that also looks attached to the coupling nut. Black goo comes off when I touch the rubber ring inside the toilet. The rubber ring also feels like it's attached to the toilet tank! Using pliers pulls off pieces of the rubber!

I bought a new Mansfield fill valve, but it's slightly different. I need to remove the rubber and nut to use it. Help!!!

i pay rent in advance on the 1st every month, for that month, i had a six month lease that ends at the end of august, and the landlord wants payment for that month even though i have already left(w/o notice, lease says to give 30 days notice. im not sure but i tink the only thing they can do is take me to small claims court, if they did that i would counter-claim, because they have invaded my privacy 4 times and once they came over and fixed the fence that they(the landlord)broke, then charged me $100 dollars to fix it, am i right?

The cracks are at the upper corner of an arched doorway leading into the kitchen, and at the corner of a half-wall dividing the kitchen and family room.

My ex keeps making new keys to my house even when I change the locks all it does is slow him down a bit.
One time I was even on the other side of the door looking at him through the peephole while he used a key to unlock my top lock.
He couldnt get in because I had just changed the bottem lock.
I called the police but they wont do anything unless he gets in and steals or kills someone.
I just want to know if there is some special lock he couldnt get through or something else I could do to keep him out of my home for good.
