I've seen lots of home remedies (vinegar + salt) and advertisements for biodegradable, safe weed killers. Wondering if anyone has experience using anything specific to kill weeds, that is also non-toxic and safe for humans and pets. How effective is your remedy? What kinds of weeds/plants does it kill, and what doesn't it kill? Do weeds grow back easily?

I am installing plastic laminate on a cork underlayment. I just found out all I have for a subfloor is one layer of 3/4" plywood which I have to remove ceramic tile grout/adhesive from. What would be a good solution for adding more subfloor? Luan? CDX? AC plywood? What thickness? Thanks

It's supposed to be quite warm and humid in my area this weekend and I just have a few fans and one measly-crappy window air conditioner. So any suggestions or is this a dumb question??

My painter used spray paint for the garage and did not cover the floor. It has lots of spots and is almost painted white at places. It looks horrible.

How can i get it off?

There are tons of Mosquitos that have made my backyard a home. We have alot of trees and it's been raining. The puddles are taking a while to clear up, and I was just wondering if there is some kind of homemade mix I can throw together. I have a sprayer that exterminators use, so I will be able to cover alot of ground. They need to DIE!!!
