My place is almost paid off. If you have disabilities that would prevent you from taking care of a place, renting might be a good idea.

Own and rent out two others.However i recommend renting ,no property tax to bankrupt you.

I own and I think it is better because I get better tax breaks. My apartement cost almost as much yet I had to call my landloard everytime something went wrong and hope he would fix it. I can make my house my own.

We live in military housing. We don't own our house, but we don't pay rent either, so we don't do either one.

i'm renting.. because i'm still a student.
but if i had the money, i'd rather buy my own place with the rent i pay everymonth.

get your own place so u r incharge instead of being ruled by bunch of 7 year old kids that are the kids of the tentant...... long story.
