-First off, this is a brand new home coming directly from thr builder (Ryland). We will be the first people toever occupy the home.
-We have been walking through the house on a weely basis just to check the progress and mostly because we are really excited about buying our first home. While we walk through, we have noticed little "imperfections" here and there that have caused us a little concern.
-Our final walk through is in about 4 weeks and my wife and I were both curious of how picky we should be?
-For the most part, things look to be in great shape, but there is a door jam where the entire piece of wood is gouged (sp?) and chipped and splintered. On one of the air vents, there is noticeable gap between the vent and the ceiling. There are two small dents (the size of a half dollar) on the very bottom of the aluminum garage door a larger dent on the inside door that leads to the garage.
-Should we expect them to fix even the minorist of impefections? Are webeing too picky?

I moved to a new home in Florida about 8 months ago. I have a grapefruit tree and a tangerine tree in my yard. I know nothing about growing citrus trees. Both produced lots of healthy awsome fruit. My grapefruit tree is fine, but in the past month or so, my tangerine tree lost all of it's leaves except for one branch. My neighbor has the same type of tree and hers is flourishing with leaves and fruit. I don't do anything for my trees....but someone told me to clear all the grass underneith of my fruit trees and give them a citrus stake. If that's what's wrong....why is my grapefruit tree ok and my neighbors tangerine tree too? She doesn't do anything to her tree except leave it alone. We did just go through a major draught...but again...why would my tangerine tree be the only tree affected? Can my tangerine tree be saved or should I just cut it down and plant another one?

I recently found a manufactored home for rent. I absolutely have fallen in love with the place but the former tenants messed it up badly. If we get it the carpets will be replaced. There is an awful smell about the whole place and I think it is a combination of animal, kid and human odor. I think it has gotten into the wood of the floor under the carpeting. How do I get this smell out of the whole place if I chose to rent it? I know it needs a good airing out but what else can I do to rid the place of the stench and make it smell good again? I'm afraid the smell will come back. Help!! I really love this place.

My washing machine overflows no matter which setting I put it on.....it just keeps filling and filling until I manually shut it off. What is wrong? Which part needs to be replaced? Is it fixable? I really hope I don't need to buy a new washing machine! Please help!!

My property value increased but the fault line runs behind my house. It's one of the biggest fault lines in the US/Houston. I was told that if I'm not right atop it, It wouldnt make a difference in value. Well, My driveway is fairly new and we see more cracks each year on our front patio. One house is so F'd up that it looks broken. Are they full of crap?
