I notice while pulling weeds from my flowerbed that I had earwigs everywhere. I was just wondering how I could get rid of them before they try to enter my home.

I will be using 12/3 Romex to make two separate circuits. As you know, 12/3 is 20 amp wire, for two separate circuits. There is a red wire (hot) for one circuit. There is a black wire (hot) for another circuit. There is a white wire (neutral) for both circuits. In other words, the black wire and the red wire both share the common white wire. Let’s say that one circuit draws 15 amps (red wire) and the second circuit draws another 15 amps (black wire). That is 30 amps. However, they both share the common white wire. The white wire is now carrying substantially in excess of 20 amps. In this case, it is carrying 30 amps and at full load from both circuits, it would have to carry 40 amps. Add it up. It means that the white wire is carrying the voltage from both individual 20 amp circuits (40 amps). The white wire would melt and catch fire instantly. Hence, 12/3 circuits and 12/3 Romex seem dangerous --- but they are used all the time. I don’t understand.

the part looks like a 1 ft. 3" pipe with a black motor looking part at one end with electricity to it and has water tubing running to it as well. It is capped on bothe ends and looks as though it was supposed to have some type of tube connected in the corner of one of the caps. the box with electricity to it is only about 3" by 2". no markings on any of it and we can not figure out what it does but it has water pouring out of spot that looks like the tube shoot be there since we put water in the hot tub.

Over the years the color has changed to pink instead of its original color purple. I have been told that a few house hold items can be used, but I can't remember what they are. If any one can help me out on these items or even a store bought product will do just fine, I would greatly appreaciate it. Thanks!

It's 85 inside and 115 outside. Is that the reason it's taking sooo long to cool my place? I'm dying here! What could be wrong?

The farm house I grew up in is very old. The wooden beams were held together with wooden pegs instead of nails. The plaster was made from horse hair. The nail used for the roof were square. Does anyone know how old this house might be?

Lysol used to make a product called "Lysol Sanitizing Bleach"; as I recall, it was a white
granular powder that you could use when washing clothes to sanitize them. It gave towels
and sheets a fresh smell. Lysol apparently stopped making it over a decade ago and I have
looked ever since for a replacement; any thoughts?
