Help with being on disability for fybromyalgia to have a place to live?

If you're on disability, then you should qualify for training from Social Services Vocational Rehabilitation.... they can train you for a job, if you are unable to perform one that you used to do. You can usually get a gas stipend to attend the training too.

Also, check with your local Community Action Agency. These agencies administer the majority of the Community Service Block Grants across the United States... They also have work training programs, and can even help with transportation to and from work. They can also put you in touch with other services for the disabled or low-income. With Social Services (sometimes called Family Services)... you have to ask specifically... if you don't ask... they don't volunteer anything.... go figure....

Also, try to find a support group.... chronic pain can be very depressing, I know. Try to keep active, even tho you have to pace yourself...and find some way to volunteer a little, if you cannot work full time.... being 'busy' helps get your mind off the pain, at least for a bit.
