we're double checking as I type.
Though they are pretty consistent, it does depend on where you are, which code is being used there.
Typically, center line of outlet should be 12" above the finished floor or counter.
Unless, of course, it is a garage. Then it would be higher.
But do confirm with local code

The normal is about 13 inches above the floor. I'm an electrician and I do this for a living and a easy way is to take a normal hammer and stand it up on the floor and mount the bottom of the box at the top of the hammer. Good Luck!!!!

If you mean how high on the wall, that varies by local electrical and building codes. In my state 14 inches from the floor.

Be sure to turn off the breaker. Depends on what you need it for. I'd say no more than a foot from the ground.

IF YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT LINE LOAD AND WIRE LOADS LEAVE IT TO ELEC. WITH EXPERAINCE AS ITS NOT A GOOD THING TO TRY AND DO IT YOUR SELF IF YOUR NOT INTO THE LOADS AND PHASE OF ELEC LOTS TO GO WRONG IF YOU KNOW THE DISTACE FROM THE MAIN BREAKER AND THE AMPS NEEDED TO SUPPLY WHAT IS BEING USED ON THE PLUG GET WITH A MILLWRIGHT ELEC TO ADVISE YOU OF PROPER SIZE OF WIRE AND LOADS THEN WITH HIS SUPERVISION AND ONLY IF HES ON SITE HE CAN TELL YOU HOW TO DO IT AGAIN DON'T TRY THIS BY YOURSELF YOU CAN BURN DOWN YOUR HOME OR END UP DEAD WITH THE WRONG WIRES IN THE WRONG PLACE JFB

Depends on your local code. Check in your codebook. Unless you don't have one because you aren't an electrician, in which case you should get one...
Please don't hurt yourself!
