Women's Health - November 2006

I've been working in bars for 2 years and my helthy lifestyle has seriously deteriorated. Although I am one of those people who's weight doesn't fluctuate easily, I have gained a little round the stomach and want to know if lots of water, cutting down carbs and not brinking beer will do the trick over time?

My vagina burns and it sort of itches too. Sometimes I can't stand it and I end up soiling myself. It goes away after a couple days on its own. When I go, it does smell different and disgusting. I'm not discharging though.

By the way, any person I've had sexual intercourse with is STD free for sure.

Is it a Yeast Infection?

I started taking prozac a month ago and just lost all of my interest in sex. I feel bad because I'm never really in the mood and don't know how to get myself going anymore. Nothing seems to work. I used to wake up in the middle of the night to have sex and now I just don't bother. What do I do to fix this?

This question is for the ladies. I have this pain so bad in my lower area (I think my ovaries) and it's almost unbearable! My husband thinks it's just cramps but I'm finding it hard to breathe. What is this? Is this normal? If anyone has any experience then would you please help me out? I'm not going to the doctor yet because the last time I missed work and went to sit in the hospital all day so I could be told they are "cramps" and get fired the next day. What a boss huh?!

Just for reference, I have poly cystic ovaries and have recently had some lower abdominal pain hence the referal. I'm not ill enough to require an admission to hospital but the doctor sent the referal request off this afternoon and said she would mark it as urgent. Does anyone know how long it is likely to be?> Have you been through this before?

I thought I was pregnant because my period was a week late, test negative, then got my period, it was 12 days late. usually lasts 5 days, lasted 10 but; the first 2 days were heavy, day 3 =spotting day 4 =heavy day 5 =light day 6 =NOTHING day 7 and 8 spotting day 9 =nothing and day 10 =very small amount of spotting only at night.
idk if my cold has anything to do with it but on the night of day 8 i have a headache and started sneezing. on day 9 i had a headache so bad i couldn't bend my head down w/out my eyes going all black. day 10 i stayed in bed for about 14 hours, coughing up blood/phlem so this may have been why there was no spotting until late @ night.
i had sex on day i b4 it started and on day 6, again on day 9 because i thought it was done. i am having severe pains on my lower abdomin so much that i have to bend over and am crying with some. i don't know that my cold or pains are in any way related to my period but has anyone else had this problem. no insurance so no dr now.

I was just wondering if any other women suffer pain while thay are ovalating,for some reason every 2weeks before my period and after i get very bad pain in my abodominal area,i have been to the docters and he said some women do suffer during the ovalation period and there is nothink he can do to help.but surley women should'nt have to suffer like this.Do any other women suffer like i do,and can anthink be done to help the situation..please help

I have not had my period for Three months now. The one I had three months ago was my first. Since then; I have been ill alot, and have had stomach cramps now and again, that come and go within hours. I'm only 14, so rule out being 'preggie' or menstration(sp? ;;) I'm spacing out when in class alot, no matter how much sleep I get, if that helps any. But other than that, i'm happy at school, out of school, etc. :D

My sister went in for a regular pap smear the other day and was given a prescription for bacterial vaginosis. She has begun taking the medicine but it is making her sick. The medicine she was given is called Flagyl. Is there any other medicine out there that she can take to cure this infection? Something that she doesn't have to take orally and that won't make her so sick would help.

I just found out that I have inactive thyroids and have to be on medication for the rest of my life. I am only 22 yrs. old. Are there other options besides the medication? I also heard with inactive Thyroids that you can gain a lot of weight?

Hi can anyone help me. This is my 1st time on the pill and i have been on it for about 2weeks on it. I feel sick every time i take the pill i tried to take it with food but is not working. I feel like i am goin to vomit and my stomach also hurts sometimes is even hard for me to eat. Also, i feel like i need to be in bed all day long.
