I just found out that I have inactive thyroids and have to be on medication for the rest of my life. I am only 22 yrs. old. Are there other options besides the medication? I also heard with inactive Thyroids that you can gain a lot of weight?

I know women who personally like the natural thyroid hormone Armour Thyroid. http://www.armourthyroid.com/

It's better than the synthetic thyroid drugs like synthroid. Also taking 1 tablespoon of raw virgin organic coconut oil with each meal will rev up your metabolism. And stay away from all Soy. Soy depresses the thyroid. Take a good mulivitamin. I like Dr. Ron Schmidt's. His does not have any additives. http://www.drrons.com/

Salt your food only with Celtic Sea salt. It is unprocessed and has 84 minerals all good for your thyroid.

I've been taking synthroid for about 12 years now. The dose has to be adjusted now and then. But it's really no big deal; you are just replacing something your body should make and doesn't anymore.

The biggest worry is that you may develop other auto-immune diseases later in life. Make sure any doctor who treats you for anything knows that you have an underactive thyroid, as that can be an important clue for the doctor to understand other problems you may have.

It is true that hypothyroid people often gain weight. Unfortunately it doesn't just magically come off when you start the medicine. :-(

An underactive thyroid, called hypothyrodism, can indeed cause you to gain weight. Other symptoms include tiredness, dry skin, hair falling out.

If your thryoid is underactive, you will need to take medicine. But the medicine is alot better than experiencing the symptoms.

The medicine they give you is a synthetic hormone that you have to take because your thyroid is not producing that hormone.

It's not that bad of a thing...Many women take thyroid medicine.

i will no longer be somebody who study faith, yet my brother has a school degree in non secular study. I even have in my view had many conflicts with my very own faith and my brother constantly reported this. "persist with basically 3 issues. Your heart, your techniques, and your intestine." What I interpreted it somewhat is: hear on your intelligence, to what you be attentive to is right, and to what your intestine feeling is. those sort of issues lead you to what's the ultimate. So ask your self those 3 questions. a million. Is transforming into an lively Mormon, whilst my mom is inactive a clever element to do? 2. Is transforming into an lively Mormon, whilst my mom is inactive the astounding element to do? 3. Do I only have the sensation that I would desire to alter right into a Mormon whilst my mom is inactive? i don't be attentive to the solutions to those questions. basically you be attentive to the solutions to those questions, and basically you are able to uncover the respond to what's quite astounding. stable success! :-D
