YES YES I AM WITH YOU, I HAVE ALWAYS SUFFERED WITH OVALATION PAIN! I even had to have a hysterectomy but they did not remove my ovaries, due to the fact they were good and the Dr. said it would be much better than going thru premature menopause. I could not believe that even though I no longer menstrate that this is still the same! The only relief I get is doing 2 things, soaking in a hot bath with herbal salt soak such as the wellness products, believe it or not I buy them in walmart they are wonderful, get the one for aches, and the 2nd thing that gives me relief is advil, I take it asap when I feel it starting,as perscriped. After that I take 1 every 4 hrs. and when u can, put your legs up under pillows laying down and relax, this really helps after you have taken your advil, warm bath and I like to have a warm drink hot tea, or coffee very soothing. Also exercise is great even though u really wont feel like it! A short walk or any kind of exercise ulike to do does help, and dont forget to take a good multi vitamin we as women go thru more than any man could ever understand, and dont forget the great advantages of dark chocolate in small amts. it must be the dark chocolate, this is a proven fact! Also if u like red wine a small glass also will relax u and your body. Wanted to ask u have u ever noticed that ovalation pain is worse some months more than others its common that 1 ovary can be more painful during ovalation than the other. I hope this is of help, I have been dealing with this since the onstart of my cycle. Most Drs. dont really know what to do, also I forgot ck. into some herbal remedies go to a good health food store and speak to the most informed employee there about your symptoms, they are very helpful, but if u r on any meds make sure to ck. with your Dr. before taking, people dont realize that there Dr. does need to know, again wish you well, let me know how u r doing if u want, and remember relax!

that is a good question.. I'm not really sure of the answer. In a way, I can kind of see your profs way of thinking because if you think about it... like women in the other country might suffer through rape, they may bear children that these soldier men are not going to take care of, they may face degradation, but also on the flip side, the women in the states that are married or dating these male soldiers are here taking care of the children by themselves, suffering loneliness without their mate here, then there are a bunch of single child bearing aged women without mates because so many single child bearing age men are in the war or have already been killed as a result of the war. Then when the soldiers come back a lot of them are injured, have post traumatic syndrome and other issues and the females usually end up taking care of them weither it is the mother, sister, wife or girl friend which is a form of suffering and a burden for some. But, the soldiers them selves are the ones who are putting their lives on the line, they are facing the risk, they are dealing with the bombs, the guns, noxious gases, the heat they have the most stress so they are suffering as well. They are the ones who suffer with an amputated limb, coming back to the states not being able to do the things they used to, or even coming back home to things that are much different than when they left. Some might comeback and not be able to do the same work they used to, which is stressful. I think all involved suffer, in different ways, but to say women suffer more than men.. I really can't agree with that.

When you ovulate, your body creates a cyst on the ovary; a cyst which contains the egg. Your body then releases a hormone to rupture the cyst so that the egg can travel down to the tubes. Sometimes having the cyst or the rupturing of the cyst can be painful... some women have no problems at all. My body releases the hormone late, so I always have cysts that are painful. You just need to make sure that your body is releasing that hormone (LH), otherwise your body is just growing cysts. Your doctor can check with a simple ultrasound.

I did when I was younger and sometimes it worse than the actual period. Birth control alleviates a lot of these symptoms. If that is not an option for you try taking a warm bath or using a heating pad, Excedrin or something along those lines for pain. I personally went on the birth control because it was unbearable! I sympathize and empathize with ya! And just thinking about what your going through has me doubled over!

I use to suffer like you are and it went on from the age of about 15 i then got them to send me to a gyne and they said that i had endrometrosis and polyscysic ovaries when then took 8 years before i could finally have a hysterectomy as nothing worked. Keep on at your doctor to refer you cause it isn't right. I know that each case is different but there is loads that they can do to prevent this pain and you should have to just put up with it. Especially when somedays you can't get up cause it hurts that much. Keep on at them and good luck i hope you get it sorted soon.

Yes I had severe pain to the point I would drop to my knees.
Most doctors just dismissed it, but I finally found a doctor who scheduled an ultrasound around the time I was ovulating. I had a cyst that would increase in size during ovulation and that is what was causing my pain.
Birthcontrol was my answer and now I do not suffer.

I just take 2 advil every 6 hours - works like a charm. My doctor said to do this as there is nothing that can be done. She's a woman doctor I've been going to since I was 14 (over 20 years going to her now...lol) and she has the same pain as I do.

It's not endometriosis, that's mega pain whilst your having your period... This pain your having is before your period (usually in the middle of your cycle) I get it too, it's like a dull period pain and it's bloody sore. I'v been told it's when your egg is being released! Paracetamol and a hot water bottle does the trick. I got told after I have kids it will get better, 2 boy's later and I've still got it. I'm afraid you'll have to live with it sweetie.

The only time I ever got cramps is when I was ovulating (i'm on the shot now & have no monthly visitor) which was about 2 weeks before I would start. It is normal, my mom had the same thing. It definitely sucks, but thats the luck of being a woman!

I thought I was the only one. The pain starts off light and then gets awful to the point that I can barely walk and sit up straight. It goes away after about a day. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.
