Birth control pills? I have never heard of anyone getting sick from birthcontrol! I would call your OBGYN ASAP! If it's not B/C.. then most other pills can make you sick to your tummy at first, but not B/C! Maybe it's not the right pill for you, there are a lot of differnt metohd of birth conrtol out there, and lots of other pills!

I had the same problem when I tried to use the pill! I tried several different types of contraception and all had the same ill effects (everything from the pill to the implants and the injections!). In the end I had to rely on condoms (which is best for protection from STD's anyway...) Once I married my husband though - this was no longer a viable method.
Call your doctors office and leave a message for your doctor - tell them that you are unable to continue with the prescription due to the side affects and may stop taking them. If you have a good doctor they may try to fit you in sooner or call you if there's a cancellation.
If you're looking for an alternative method of contraception, talk to your doctor. Personally I now use an I U D. There are no hormones to deal with (which was what was making me feel sick). It's not expensive, it has long term effects (up to 3 years I think) and is totally reversible! If you want to remove it, make an apt with the Doctor and it's done in the office. Within 24 - 48 after removal you can start trying to conceive!
There is no one but you and your doctor that can find the best solution, if the pill doesn't work for you - try something else!

It is normal to be sick at the beginning. Your body is being tricked into thinking that you are pregnant. You will have pregancy symptoms at first. After 2 / 3 months on the pill, the symptoms should subside. Also, if you take the pill and have to vomit within a couple hours of taking it, you will need to take another pill to makeup for the pill you vomitted!
Hope this helps!!!

It takes about 6 months for the body to get used to the pill and the side effects to go away.
Try taking your pill with milk - that's better than food. I do that and I don't get any nausea.
But, you're unusually sick, so the doctor may put you on a different pill or a different strength pill.

Take it before bed and you'll sleep through the side effect. When I was on the pill I had the same problem as a matter of fact if I wanted to loose a few pounds I would change back to the morning dosing.

This particular pill may not be suitable for you. I'm sure your doctor will prescribe a different kind and have you try that instead. It may take a while to find the right one for you. Actually, your doctor will probably tell you that it could take up to 3 months on the pill for your hormones to get used to it. BUT, be sure to tell him you can't go 3 months feeling like crap and I'm sure he will find a better pill for you.

The pill literally makes you feel like you are pregnant. Its totally normal for you to feel sick...i was so sick i thought i was dying! You need to be switched to something with a lower dosage. I would call your doctor back and tell him that you can't take these for even another day, and see if he can prescribe you something over the phone. Then you can go pick up the new prescription at your clinic.

Call the doctor. There are many different varieties of the pill, and it is important that you tell you doctor what is happening. They will give you a different one to try.

Hi! I had the same problem too. You should stop taking them right now and ask your doctor to recommend you some that are milder.
