Women's Health - November 2006

I'm dating a lady (33) with Lupus. She's shy when asked about it and does not make it like it's a big deal so I don't pry. I did look it up but is all gibberish and I don't understand what she is going through. Last time we went out (dancing etc..) I did'nt hear from her for 3 days because she was sick. What can I do to comfort or help her? Or even make it easier for her to talk about it to me?

I will try to be as candid as possible but I have a problem that i need an answer to. When I am on my period sometimes it flows heavily.(the fact that is heavy is not the concern) I am not a small peteit person and the problem I am having is finding a pad that will catch everything and is wide enough for "that area" I have a wide vagina and it can be a mess. I don't need to hear smart a** remarks, I just need to know what kind of pad will cover that area and not let the stuff get on my clothes?

i had an IUD put in this april . im 24 and have not had children. it seemed like everything went fine. then a week later i had this horrible pain on my left side. went to the dr's and then found out after a catscan that it migrated into my stomach. just wondering if anyone has ever had this happen or somthing similar. because my dr said this has never happend to her.

if doctors can tell if uve had sex (im talking about girls) then can they tell if u have been fingured too? cant doctors tell becuz u get streched? so if thats true wouldnt they be able to tell if u wer fingured?

I hope this is an acceptible question. My girlfriend can and does orgasm frequently through intercourse or other forms of stimulation, but as far as I can tell has never ejaculated. From what I understand it is the byproduct of more intense orgasms, and frankly I'd like to give her that. So my question is, does anyone know if some women just can't do it, or have tips to methods that might prove more successful than my attempts thus far?

I went to gyn fertility Doctor.. and gave me the drug called provera generic for medroxyprogesterone.. how do I take it .. do I take it first day of my period or after my period for ten days.. I had an IUD inserted today (the five year). This may seem like a silly question, but I'm going to ask anyway. How is the hormone released from the IUD? Is it possible for too much to be released, and if so what would happen to a person who received too much? Thanks!

How long does food stay in a persons stomach after eating it like if a person ate like 3 meals a day then threw up once at night would they be bulemic? And would that even cause them 2 lose weight? Cuz wouldnt the food maybe be like gone by then...??????????

I asked this question and was surprised at some of the answers. I figured to ask it again.

How many times have you been in a pool and that surge of cold air catches your bladder? Well, this evening I was at the local YMCA. After my hour on the treadmill I decided it was time for a nice swim in the pool. I was the only one in the pool area. Wouldn't you know it as I was slowly getting into the pool, I got that surge you feel from the cold water that makes you have to pee. Well, since I was the only one in this huge pool that smell of chlorine, I decided to just pee in the pool. No one else was around, so why not. I figured, why get out, walk all the way to the locker room just to pee. I am sure I was not this first woman to ever do this. I am curious how many other ladies have done a similar thing?

I went to get a pap because the lift side of my hip right where I believe my ovaries are were getting pin prickish pains on and off. They didn't find any cysts but when I got a call today saying that my lab results states that I have low grade abnormal cells. I'm really nervous. Should I panic?

I would like to gain weight, but in a healthy manner. I'm a 14 yr old, 92 lb female, I'm about 5'6-5'7. I found out that I am below the 5 percentile, which puts me at underweight. But I would like to know the best way I can gain weight the right way, without supplements or anything like that. I would like to be able to reach between 98-100lbs within 2 months. Ok... so my bf didnt want to have sex anymore and I wasnt excactly YAY about that, but I didnt say anything to him or dump him or anything. so a few weeks later..
