I went to gyn fertility Doctor.. and gave me the drug called provera generic for medroxyprogesterone.. how do I take it .. do I take it first day of my period or after my period for ten days.. I really don t know how to take it.. it is my first time.. so let me know if outthere have the same experience I do and or do Know about it .. thanks

It is a shot, and you have your doctor give it to you on the first or second day of your period, but no later. If you wait more than two days, you have to wait until your next period to take it. Keep in mind that this is a shot, not a pill. Once you take it, you are not due for another one for three months. Also, google depo-provera..there is a website called "depo-provera horror stories". Just look into it before you take it. It never hurts to be well informed.

I take that, it's the generic for Depo Provera (birth control)...I've been on it for years though...call your doc and ask, because I honestly don't recall when (relative to my last period) I got my first shot (I didn't know it came in another form)...and then I haven't had a real/regular period since then...

Type depo provera or medroxyprogesterone into your search engine and there may be info on the pharmaceutical company site that'll tell you what you need to know...

Your doctor should have given you instructions. You need to contact your doctor to see what he/she wants you to do.
