That varies, according to the site linked below. The worldwide average is at 17.3 years. It ranges from 15.6 (Iceland) to 19.8 (India). In the US it's 16.9.

A more interesting question would be what age people later wished they had lost it at.

Usually, the average age to lose one virginity is 16 or 17, but it varies from person to person. I' am still a virgin and I' am 20 years old, so hang in there.

I am not sure about the average age but I lost mine at 14! I was told I was a slut for that once but I have no regrets and its not like I had sex with every guy. He was the only person until I was 18 and I am 20 now. I dont recommend 14 to anyone at all though. I dont really believe a woman should wait until she is married but defiantly in love and out of high school!!!!

Probably way younger than they should be...but I don't know an average...my mother worked in a state run hospital for years (newborn nursery) and they got 10 yr olds through teens in there having children all the time (a number of them having had multiple pregnancies)...if that's any indication...

All to young if you ask me (which you did lol). I am proud to say I've made it through high school and two years of college so far a virgin and I plan to keep it that way until my wedding night!

It's a fairly wide range, but I would say anywhere between 15-19

It should be over 18. Kids are having sex too young these days from peer pressure.

For me, I GAVE my virginity when I was 32. My choice, nobody else's.
