i had an IUD put in this april . im 24 and have not had children. it seemed like everything went fine. then a week later i had this horrible pain on my left side. went to the dr's and then found out after a catscan that it migrated into my stomach. just wondering if anyone has ever had this happen or somthing similar. because my dr said this has never happend to her.

Its rare but more likely with women who haven't had children due to the fact 1. ur body doesn't take well to a foreign object 2. your uterus is smaller than a woman who has carried a child full term.

What I find weird is how did it get in your stomach? did it pierce Thru ur uterus and thru into your stomach??

Yeah, I had a friend whos IUD broke and actually cut her cervix and uterus. She had to have surgery, and when this happened she was at work and lots of blood started dripping and stained the chair she was sitting on really bad. Everyone saw and though she was on her period. Maybe you should think about another form of birthcontrol that doesnt involve things that could brake or migrate.. good luck
